Of all the possible businesses, why did you choose network marketing as a business?

I have had previous successful traditional self-employed Business experience. It required over 100% of my time money and effort - over 100% of the time. As I considered leveraging my personal time with the possibilities of hiring others, I found that the risks and personal liabilities I would face - were higher than I was willing to take on for that luxury.

I realized that others I would employ; did not have my personal or my companies best interest in mind, the same as I did. I discovered that the “quality control” was also greatly compromised. So, I decided I would assume all responsibility and be better off, but that meant I was a slave to my own business. However, the lower risk factor was well worth it to me.

I had heard about the concept of leveraging the time and experience of others as well as your own, to create a reproductive residual income for yourself. This intrigued me, so I became a student of the Network Marketing Industry.

I decided in view of the fact that I was responsible for my own income as I was already accustomed to; why not capitalize on the efforts of others I was responsible for referring to a business venture that would enable them to take more control of their financial future as well? I believed it was only fair that I would receive some sort of commission for the referrals I introduced to the company that decided to join.

I was attracted to the notion that a system was in place that would reward me for doing so, since I was directly or as a result of my initial efforts – indirectly, the one responsible for that Company to gain revenues. I saw it as a much greater and more lucrative version of a traditional business "profit sharing" venture.

Was your business an "instant success" or did you experience challenges along the way?

My business was not an instant success. I did have a degree of success greater and sooner than most though. I attribute that to mainly two things.

1 - I already had developed a high skill level in customer service relations. Since I was already in business for myself, I realized what would make me stand out from the rest in this Industry, was tapping into what my services had to offer each customer specifically. I would purpose to point out what would seem unique and beneficial to the customer. I would gather as much information as I possibly could to get to know the customer's wants and needs, before I would know for sure I had something to offer , and then offer only what was a natural fit. I used these same principles early on in my Network Marketing Career.

2 - I decided to do my own due-diligence and research for myself the pros and cons of the Network Marketing industry, as well as the company I was considering building a future with. I got familiar with the industry, the company, the compensation plan, the services, and the products. This way I had better posture and a greater sense of realistic confidence. That in turn, would insure the fact that I could legitimately promote the company I was associated and myself, with integrity and honesty.

How does Leaders Club fit into your business model?

Leaders Club provided me with the non-hype absolute truth of what it takes to succeed regardless of the company you decide to build. What advice would you give to someone serious about succeeding in this industry?

Do what you do when ever your go shopping. Compare apples with apples and oranges with oranges. Ask when someone tells you something how great his or her opportunity is - "How do you know that’s true?" Do your own homework, based on facts and a tested and proven track record. Consult with the BBB, and the FTC to get an unbiased perspective.

When you have done your own due-diligence, also look for any guarantees. They should be clear, succinct, understandable, to the point, and in writing.

Consider the risks involved from a financial and a time investment perspective. There will be pros and cons involved. Weigh them out. Then take a look form the inside out.

Go in expecting and intending to succeed, not just to give it a try. Plan to succeed, and work the plan - consistently and as if your future actually depends upon it. Because it does! You can only get out of it what you put into it. As you train others, or point them in the direction to do the same - you'll see the exponential benefits of reproductive residual income. It's an honorable and a worthy way to make a living. You will be blessed, and in turn - a blessing to others. What a way to make a living!
