Of all the possible businesses, why did you choose network marketing as a business?

At the end of the day, I needed something that would allow be to be the exuberant, effervescent and gregarious individual that I am.  I wanted something that was not so much cut throat but that would allow me to pursue my passion of empowering people to achieve their full potential. 

I am often reminded of the parable of the talents. The one gets five talents, the other one two and one gets one talent.  The key point is not so much that one has more than another, which seems to the focal point of our existence, rather that we all have abilities, that we have been gifted, it falls upon us to develop those talents. That is my desire, Network Marketing allows me the freedom to do so without the strictures of corporate life!  Like Cindi Lauper says, “Oh girls just want to have fun!”

Was your business an "instant success" or did you experience challenges along the way?

Yes and no! I was an instant success in as much as I was determined that come rain or shine, I was going to do it. I did experience numerous challenges in that I had two job and little to no time.  Whereas I was very good at interacting with people, I was not skilled in the art of building a profitable business. I fell into the trap that most people find themselves - I just thought that this was something I was doing just to make money. 

Well, as you can imagine the motivation waned fast once I realized that it was not going to be as easy as I had been lead to believe.  The lack of know how in the industry was disappointing. Information that was being disseminated left much to be desired.  How can you ask a professional to abandon his or her practice so that they can go and troll in the malls to find prospects?  I needed something with respectability that church bishop would be happy to be associated with.

How does Leaders Club fit into your business model?

I see Leaders Club as CPR for the stalled out Network Marketing business.  I am a trained Red Cross Instructor and Leaders Club is the needed patch to control the profuse bleeding that is the loss of money that people are experiencing! Leaders Club resolved for me the Lack of Training. They provided me the team I needed to guide me to success. Leaders Club had the blueprint that allows me to be myself and yet present myself as a professional.

What advice would you give to someone serious about succeeding in this industry?

STOP running around in circles!  There are no buttons that say, “press here for a 6-figure income.” There are no fool proof options. If that is what you are looking for, please send me a one way ticket to your utopia! This is a business and it must be grown as such, that is the only guarantee available. That said, If you are serious about moving your business forward, you must look into Leaders Club.
