Case Study #1 - AdWords PPC Campaign Saved Calvin D. of New Hampshire was spending over $800 a month in Google AdWords ads. “I was generating leads but they were costing me an arm and a leg.” says Calvin. “I was generating about 50 leads a month.” Calculating the cost per lead based on his monthly budget Calvin was spending around $16 per lead. The more disastrous part was that out of the 50 leads Calvin generated, he only sponsored 3 or 4 at the most. “I was doing what all the traffic guru’s were telling me and it was killing my budget and straining my relationship with my wife.” he commented. Calvin even had ads turned off repeatedly for violating Google’s advertising policies - all things he was taught to do by various traffic courses. His cost to sponsor one person: $266 in advertising alone. After applying the prospect targeting strategies in “How To Turn Cold Leads Into Hot Prospects” and focusing on what his prospects really cared about, Calvin rethought his entire PPC ad campaign. “When I went though the targeting exercise it became really clear to me that I wasn’t thinking about the prospect or what was in their mind.” commented Calvin. I only figure out whether or not they qualify for something I have and offer that. It’s about a million times easier!” says Calvin.
